Day 12 (July 4th) - ZERO DAY

"Where ever you go, there you are."

Start: Doyle Hotel
Finish: Doyle Hotel
Today: 0 mi
Total: 123 mi

It was nice and cool last night so we (Heather, myself and the bugs) slept well in our room. Out of habit I Woke up with the sun but didn't get out of bed till about 8 AM. Most people revel in these zero days where you can just sit and relax but I was getting antsy. We've come to crave those days where you arrive at camp exhausted but fulfilled.

At 11 AM Heather and I took a walk and nice man on his porch struck up a conversation with us. The people Duncannon have been amazingly nice! We ate pizza for lunch and eventually made her way back to have room for a nap between 1 PM and 3:30 PM. Our bodies are still exhausted.

At 4 PM we got a ride to the grocery store to pick up a few things
(next re-supply in six days). Because of the heat we spent most of the day downstairs in the air-conditioned bar. Before bed I asked Heather if she thought there were ghosts in this 107 year old hotel. That probably wasn't the best thing to talk about before bed but even worse, Heather decided to Google whether it's haunted. Luckily, Google told us that they're only nice ghosts here I hope some of them massage my aching feet while I sleep!
